After an illness early in life left him deaf and non-verbal, Tommy and his family began discovering ways to connect and communicate beyond spoken words.
An early breakthrough with a trusted speech pathologist revealed Tommy’s intuitive ability to share his insights and opened the door to a new way of communicating. Over the years, this ability continued to flourish.
When Tommy expressed his wish to create cards of his own, they came to life through a close family collaboration. With Tommy's guidance, his brother Greg captured the photographs, and worked alongside his mum, Nicola, to communicate the message connected with each image.
Alongside this family collaboration, Tommy’s wider community, including his support workers and business managers, played an important part in bringing the HOPE Cards to life.
What emerged is a deck shaped by Tommy’s experiences, relationships and unique way of connecting, a message of HOPE, from his heart to yours.
